Traditional naval style uniforms for both men and women directly from the U.S. Navy. First refer to the back of the current Sea Scout Manual to familiarize yourself with the standing, written policy on obtaining uniforms from the U.S. Navy. This source in intended for Sea Scouts and Sea Scout officers affiliated with a currently chartered Sea Scout Ship. BSA, Sea Cadets and all other youth organizations using navy uniforms must send a letter on the ship's letterhead providing the leader's (Skipper's) position, name, name of organization, (as in Boy Scouts of America, Sea Scout Ship 000) social security number of the Skipper, and including the names and social security numbers of all members who are authorized for uniform purchase. The letter should specifically say that The following are authorized to purchase. The Skipper will also be required to send with the letter a copy of the Ship's charter. These should be sent to Cathy Beasley/Angela Jackson at FAX # 1-800-551-6289.
Authorized members of the Ship may order by calling (800) 368-4088 and selecting menu options 4. Telephone orders can be made between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Eastern time. Parents can use their personal charge cards and have uniforms sent to their home addresses. Alternatively, orders on Sea Scout letterhead may be faxed to 1-800-551-6289.
